On July 11, 2023, the group exhibition "Meeting of a Tenth Kind" was opened in the “Academy” Gallery of the National Academy of Arts in Sofia. The exhibition is the result of the cooperation between the Cultural and Information Center of the Republic of North Macedonia and the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, it is part of the "Connection" project, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023. The event marked the beginning of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between North Macedonia and Bulgaria.
After the congratulatory speech by the artist and associate professor at the Art Academy Rosen Toshev, the director of the Cultural Center in Sofia, Sashko Nasev PhD, addressed the audience with a talk on aesthetics and diplomacy. The Ambassador of North Macedonia in Sofia, Her Excellency Agneza Rusi-Popovska, in her congratulatory speech, emphasized the importance of artists in strengthening relations between the two countries. The curator of "Meeting of a Tenth Kind", Ivo Pecov PhD, who himself took part in the exhibition, recalled the development of the "Connection" project, with which the Cultural Center of North Macedonia expanded its cultural presence and cultural exchange with almost all larger cities in the Republic of Bulgaria.
The exhibition was composed of works by: Gordana Vrencoska, Deyan Ivanov – Margush, Yana Maneva-Chuposka, Bedi Ibrahim, Marijana Ivanova, Perica Georgiev – Pepsi, Pavel Tselkoski, Mariyan Dzingarov, Ivo Pecov, Nenad Michic, Zoran Mishe, Momchil Mirchev, Svilen Stefanov, Rosen Toshev, Ricardo Quaresma Vieira, Valter Pratash and Zoltan Ferenc.
A total of 57 works from the fields of drawing, graphics, painting, sculpture, photography, digital graphics and video art were exhibited and it was open until July 30, 2023.
